Scissor Holster

This little item took less than an hour start to finish. I'd post instructions, but it is so easy you can probably do it from just looking. It is a scissor holster with a turquoise pocket on the back for a bobbin of thread or whatever. I thought it turned out cute, and I didn't use a pattern. Were the dishes done? No. But I had fun doing it, so I don't really care. They're mostly done now. No, really.

That is sweet! I think you feel about sewing the way I feel about laminating. I got a laminator for mother's day and I sit at the table while the dishes pile up laminating every last thing I can think of! My husband calls at lunch and begs me to not laminate the children or our dinner!

Awesome!! I love doing crafty projects like that!! Except, mine would need a spot for my rotary cutter too... I use it almost as much, if not more than my scissors!

Nope, not even WITH a pattern could I pull that off. I needed a description to even know what it was (or a bobbin, for that matter). I envy you crafty types.

Super cute! I'm amazed you have time to sew with TWO children now (one an infant) - you really must be SUPERWOMAN!

Way cute!
What a great idea, I'm always losing my scissors. I would need one like Melissa with a place for my rotary cutter.
The dishes will wait. They always wait for me at our house.

Hey, Very Creative. I always think I am going to make something great, and I spend all day, not doing the dishes working on my great item that doesn't quite work out, and then I have nothing, and my craft is pretty crappy. You will have to teach me your skills!!

Since I think I've left five comments tonight, I guess I should introduce myself -- I'm Zina and I think I got here from Mormon Mommy Blogs.

You've mentioned several times that you're from a rural area, but your calling that a "scissor holster" proved it. :) I can't think what else I've heard those called, but I'm positive that's the first time I've heard one called a holster.
