Overheard. . .

Overheard in our kitchen as I pointed at the pressure canner I am borrowing from my mom:
"You can cook like three whole chickens in that thing in like twenty minutes."

I now consider myself a full blown ruralized American Woman. So much for my BA in English. Alex responded merely by saying, "You found the manual, eh?"

I have one of those, too! It's never been used because...well, I don't want to open the manual :) I've heard that if you don't do it right you could have an explosion and I don't dare use it with me being a blonde & all :)

That is incredible. Three whole chickens in 20 minutes!

What does one do with a BA in English, anyway? Besides solidify their loathing for teenagers, I mean.

Well, I used mine to work at a lumber yard, and now I also use it to teach my brilliant two-year-old to speak English. Unfortunately, my re-assimilation to Southern Utah's Dialect will probably be a slight hindrance to her great literary career.

LOL! Toshay! Ya know, I didn't know that either and I have one of those and use it somewhat regularly. Who ever bothers with those manuals anyway, it's always much easier to learn something by doing it.:)

Where is the space to comment on the "word of the day" and its usage. Nicely done, Ro! Nicely done!

Hi! I just found your blog - and can I just say that you have always been one of my favoritest people! As for manuals - I'd LOVE one. My sister shuffled off my mom's pressure cooker to me when she moved and now it's collecting a lovely blanket of dust in my shed.
