Another Helpful Realization

The problem with self-denial is that often—after going for a long time without the object of your desire—you snap. Then, you are in a world devoid of self control. (Or a world full of much sharp cheddar, as the case may be. Oh happy dagger.)

*Favorite candy bar (or gluten-free wheat-grass organic equivalent) to the first one to name the source of the line, "Oh happy dagger."

Ok, I am 100% sure now that it is Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo & Juliet. But Amy beat me. BLAST!

And I've read that line so many times with my students, too.

"O happy dagger! This is thy sheath. There rust, and let me die." (Finally--the whiny adolescent brat!)

On the off chance that it will earn me a dark milky way bar, I would like to submit that this line from Romeo and Juliet was quoted most hilariously in Harold and Maude which, if you haven't seen, you haven't lived.

Thank you.

Mmm....now I'm hungry for cheese. Do you have a favorite brand or variety?

Melissa, I am particularly fond of any Tillamook, but especially their sharp white in the navy blue/purple wrap. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Congrats Amy and Pamy!

Romeo and Juliet - EASY PEASY! Too bad I've been a blog slacker lately. A ninth grade Saddie and friends quoted that line oft after studying it with Mrs. Austad. What an overly dramatic line for any overly dramatic teen to quote. :o)
