Yellow Dresses, Yellow Wallpaper, Whatever.

I am glad Alex's Baby Sister is getting married. It gave me an excuse to sew. We found that linen at Joann's on clearance for $3 a yard, 60" wide. Five dresses for less than $20 with zippers, etc. Fabric bargains make me especially happy. I can't remember for sure, but this may be the first item of clothing I have ever constructed to completion that had sleeves and a zipper.

Can't decide which I like better, the dress or the title.

Cute little dress, Jen!

You should perhaps try that a bit more often?

Wait... five dresses? There's only four people in your family. (And Alex is going to look really cute in his!) Who's the other dress for?

They are for the little nieces. Grace, and her cousins, and I think one for one of the new in-law's, too.

I always avoid sleeves and zippers too if I can avoid them. You are a smart woman. And also a much better seamstress than I am.

I love fabric sales, and it sounds like you got an awesome deal. I love linen. The dress turned out great. Maybe you could put a ribbon around the waist or a fabric rose, or other flower if you want to dress it up a bit. I really like the yellow dress, it seems so joyful looking. And I'm glad Alex isn't going to wear a dress

Darling dress! I just found a cute and easy way to make fabric flowers, if you want to make a dainty/formal fabric flower for all the little girls hair. Here is the site for a picture and the tutorial.

I've already made a couple and they turned out so darling!
