Grace's Latest Hit

Grace has a new favorite song. It goes like this:

Hanging on the road, Hanging on the road.
Hanging on the road, Hanging on the road.
Hanging on the road, Hanging on the road.
Is so fuuuuuuuuun.

She likes us to sing it with her in the car. Over. And Over. And Over. It's Awesome with a capital A.

Other renditions also include Hanging on the Street, or Hanging on the Flag. Same tune.

That is so creative! I love it when Grace shows her creative side and you share it with us.

Thank you so much for sharing this intimate family portrait with us. Any chance that you could get us a video?

That's funny. Hattie sings 'I Know you gleam in eyes' at the top of her lungs. She also likes to sing 'Somewhere over rainbow'. But I am proud to say she can sing the whole Alphabet song only skipping H and I. Grace sounds like quite the character.

Hilarious! Although I'm not in the car at the moment hearing it repeated over and over. I think sometimes because our children are related to us almost anything is tolerable. Almost. :)

Madelyn was making me sing "The Farmer in the Dell" with her the other day at Walmart. In her rendition, the cheese takes a daughter, and the farmer takes a life(!).

I'm laughing hysterically in spite of the fact that Monday starts as soon as I wake up tomorrow. Thank you.

Sounds a lot like Sarah's favorite new song, "Bumpy and Jumpy Rhyme," the lyrics of which are, "Bumpy and jumpy rhyme! (repeat)(repeat)(repeat)..." There's nothing like a 4-year-old to remind you of the value of adult interaction.

I would laugh and be glad it isn't me... but I'm set to spend 8 hours in a car this weekend with three kids, a husband, and a dog... and I need all the good karma I can get...
